The Abbey, dating back to the 12th century, and the palace are a visual treat, giving insight into the life of the Scottish nobility during the 16th century.

Visit the Bannockburn Visitor Centre, where the famous Battle of Bannockburn took place in 1314. This pivotal moment in Scottish history saw Robert the Bruce’s victory over the English, cementing his place as a national hero. The interactive exhibits and immersive experience at the Centre provide a deep dive into the events of the battle.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch stop at a local restaurant, where you can savour traditional Scottish dishes, regional specialties, or a simple meal in a comfortable setting. (Lunch is not included in the tour price but will be recommended.)

Explore Stirling Castle, one of the most important castles in Scotland. Once the residence of Scottish kings and queens, including Mary, Queen of Scots, this majestic fortress offers stunning views over the surrounding countryside. With its richly decorated rooms, royal history, and impressive fortifications, Stirling Castle is a must-see for history enthusiasts.

After an enriching day of exploration, you’ll head back to Edinburgh, reflecting on the fascinating history and sights of the day. You’ll arrive in the city by 6pm, with plenty of memories to cherish
